French 1 section 5: 'Les couleurs'

See how Early Start introduces simple language and shows everyday life and culture in this early section, 5: "Les couleurs" ... You'll see a sequence of three clips introduces 11 colours, and shows French children using the words in context: - playing boules with coloured balls; - at the fair and playing board games. The film shows the written words once children are familiar with how they sound.

You'll see Spanish children in their classroom; the objects they use are named, the we hear them talking, e.g. "Have you got a pen?" A sequence of 4 clips which also show a Spanish child buying things for school at a stationers', and a teacher telling children what they'll need in a lesson. The new words are introduced in writing in a separate section at the end.
